Free Dental Care for Adolescents
Hillcrest and Tamahere Dental Centre are proud to be able to provide free, quality dental care to children and adolescents from school Year 9 until their 18th birthday in association with the Ministry of Health.
It is important for people of all ages to attend for regular check-ups to prevent dental decay and gum disease, and to be able to quickly and effectively provide the necessary treatment when required.
For adolescents from school Year 9

Most dental treatment is provided free under the scheme. Some treatments require prior approval from the Ministry of Health, and those that are not covered can be paid for privately if necessary. It is best to talk to your dentist to discuss what treatment you require.
For children from birth to school Year 8
Please contact your local community dental clinic on 0800 TALK TEETH to make an appointment. If your child has a referral from the community clinic to see us, please call us to arrange a suitable time on 078567462.
